Efficacy Testing in Normal and Disease Models
The In Vivo Facility offers the expertise of a world-class research institution to
assist you in your efficacy evaluations. We have extensive experience in model and
assay selection, and frequently design novel models tailored to meet the specific
needs of a particular compound or discovery program.
Hemodynamic/Functional Testing (acute and chronic)
- Radiotelemetry
- Normo and hypertensive animals (surgical, chemical models)
- Vascular flow/pressure in specific vascular beds
Infarction/Heart Failure Models
Ischemia/Reperfusion Models (rodent and non-rodent)
Electrophysiologic Measurements
Cardiovascular Imaging
The In Vivo Facility offers efficacy testing of therapeutics in mouse models of breast, pancreatic, and lung cancers, as well as in xenograft models. The IVIS Imaging System can be utilized on studies when bioluminescently labeled tumor cells are available. This advanced 3D optical imaging system is designed to improve quantitative outcomes of in vivo imaging and facilitates non-invasive longitudinal monitoring of disease progression.
Some of our gastrointestinal evaluations include Transit Time/Emptying Time/Absorption, GI Tract Nerve Muscle Preparations, peristalsis with spatiotemporal analysis of muscle movements, and visceral sensation using electromyographic measurements to colorectal distention.
We provide ischemic and ischemia-reperfusion stroke models, rodent locomotor evaluations, and state-of-the art imaging capabilities.
The In Vivo Facility has expertise in pulmonary hypertension models. We also offer assessments of respiratory rate and minute volume, capnography, and exercise-induced effects.
We offer a variety of renal evaluations, including efficacy screening in renal failure models.
